Databricks Senior Manager - US (New York)
Lead end-to-end Databricks data/ML platforms in NYC with Kubrick. Mentor teams, influence clients and deliver real impact in an inclusive, collaborative culture.
About Kubrick
Kubrick is an award-winning consultancy that helps organizations design, build and scale data and AI solutions that deliver lasting impact. Our clients span a wide range of industries, including financial services, retail, energy, healthcare, the public sector, and more.
We're a Databricks Gold Partner, the highest tier in the Databricks Partner Program and one held by a select number of organizations globally, alongside partnerships with Microsoft, Snowflake, and Collibra. What sets us apart is how we build capabilities and careers. Through continuous learning, real-world delivery, and an internal Databricks Centre of Excellence, we help our people build deep technical expertise, not just add another platform to their CV.
The opportunity
As a Senior Manager within the Data Engineering capability, you'll lead end-to-end delivery of Databricks-based data and ML platforms for clients across industries.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll run the day-to-day delivery of squads, work directly with client stakeholders and Databricks' own Professional Services teams, and mentor the engineers around you, without stepping away from the technical decisions yourself.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the end-to-end delivery of Databricks-based data and ML platforms for enterprise clients.
Work directly with clients, internal stakeholders, and Databricks Professional Services teams.
Provide technical leadership across delivery squads, setting the standard for engineering excellence.
Translate business challenges into robust, production-grade technical solutions.
Mentor, line-manage, and develop engineers across the wider Databricks capability.
Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical best practice within our Databricks Centre of Excellence.
Help grow Kubrick's Databricks capability across clients and industries in the US market.
Why you should join Kubrick
Joining one of the few Databricks Gold Partners means you will have access to a wide range of opportunities that will help you stand out and accelerate in your career.
Unlimited certification support: full Databricks Partner Portal access and as many exam vouchers as you need.
Direct access to Databricks' own engineering benchmarks, product roadmap, and support channels.
Access to Kubrick’s Databricks Centre of Excellence, which offers ongoing development support, networking, events, updates, and more.
Support all the way to Champion and even MVP - Databricks' highest individual accolade.
Early visibility into upcoming Databricks product and generative AI capabilities, ahead of general release.
A close-knit community of Databricks practitioners at every level of seniority.
What we’re looking for
We're looking for someone who has led real delivery before and who wants to keep building deep Databricks expertise rather than move away from the technology as they become more senior.
You'll bring:
Strong experience delivering solutions on Databricks.
Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Advanced Python and SQL skills.
Experience leading technical delivery teams within enterprise environments.
The ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practice.
A mindset focused on quality, impact, and continuous improvement.
If you don't tick every box above but think you'd thrive in this role, we'd still love to hear from you.
