Female spotlight - Celina Gibson

Celina is an enthusiastic technical leader who has a clear passion for creative problem-solving and nurturing diverse perspectives in the Tech industry. Her interest in data began through a Code First for Girls programme at university, which highlighted the importance of diversity in data, and sparked an appreciation for how integral both creativity and logic are to building better data solutions.

Over the past six years building a career as a Data Engineering Consultant, Celina has successfully delivered complex, high-impact solutions across multiple sectors including Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Insurance and Finance, by translating business requirements into technical architecture, leading multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Celina has worn many hats - Data Engineer, Tech Lead, Analytics Engineer, Scrum Master and Business Analyst - giving her a broad perspective that has allowed her to take confidence ownership of end-to-end deliveries. She has led and designed solutions across a range of tech stacks, including architecting event-driven APIs and near real-time applications on GCP, building Snowflake and dbt-based digital solutions that support Sustainability and Lean Manufacturing across 27 global manufacturing sites, and automating business-critical financial reports in AWS and Azure that saves days of manual work each month. She is motivated by building robust, trusted data solutions that reduce manual effort, improve decision-making and create lasting organisational value.
